Each year Thunder Rugby awards the Phil Mack Trophy to the Thunder Indigenous Player(s) of the Year. The trophy was first presented to Crosby Stewart in 2016. There are $2000 in scholarships/bursaries to be awarded. Subsequent winners were Hunter Grant, Brandon Schellenberger, Caleb Sam, Lyric Atchison. In 2022 Dakota LaChance and Shalaya Valenzuela received the award.
