Thunder BC Summer Tour – Report

Our BC tour went well this summer but it was not without some unforeseen circumstances. The wildfires in the interior forced us to cancel the Kamloops and Prince George stops but we managed to put on four good camps covering Prince Rupert, Shawnigan on the Island, Capilano in North Vancouver and Abbotsford.

We want to thank all the coaches and players for attending, and our supporters whose financial assistance allows us to put on these camps.

Thunder Indigenous Rugby Fund – Tax Deductible

We’ve started a fund at the Canadian Rugby Foundation. The goal is to build this fund to a level which will allow an annual Thunder youth tour in perpetuity.

Our latest fundraiser is this Friday evening, from 7pm to 10pm September 10th, at the Esquimalt Ribfest, all you can eat and drink in the corporate tent next to the live music stage. Cost is $100 with $50 eligible as a tax deductible donation.
