The curtain raiser match for Canada vs Chile on Saturday, October 2nd will be the UVic Vikes vs the Pacific Pride (Rugby Canada Academy). The match is at 1:30 pm at Starlight Stadium (formerly Westhills Stadium). The Canada vs Chile match is at 5pm.
The jerseys worn by the UVic and Pride teams have been specially designed by west coast First Nation artists, Trey Hunt and Tommy Hunt. They will be used exclusively for this match and then auctioned off with profits going to the Thunder Indigenous Rugby program. Bid amounts in excess of $100 will be eligible for a tax receipt.
